Activating STV Player on your Smart TV or TV-connected device is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to get started and enjoy your favourite shows seamlessly.
Step 1: Download and Install the STV Player App
Access the app store on your Smart TV or connected device.
Search for the STV Player app.
Download and install the app.
Step 2: Launch the App and Review Privacy Information
Open the STV Player app after installation.
Carefully review the provided privacy information.
Set your privacy preferences as desired.
Select Continue to STV Player.
Step 3: Choose a Sign-In Method
You will be presented with two sign-in options:
Link Using a Different Device: Use a laptop, phone, or tablet to activate the app.
Sign In with Email and Password: Enter your credentials directly using the remote control.
Option 1: Linking via Another Device
Look for the unique code displayed on your TV screen.
On your laptop, phone, or tablet, open the web browser and go to the specified web address displayed on the TV screen. Some app versions may also provide a QR code. If available, scan the QR code using your device’s camera (not through a third-party app).
If you encounter difficulties entering the web address, navigate to the activation section of the STV website and select the TV Activation Code option.
Log into your STV account if prompted. If you don’t have an account, create one by following the on-screen instructions.
Enter the code displayed on your TV screen exactly as shown.
Click Continue and wait for the confirmation message on your TV.
Option 2: Signing in Directly with the Remote Control
Select Sign In on the TV screen.
Highlight and click the Email Address field.
Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the email address associated with your STV account.
Navigate to the Password field and input your account password using the remote control.
Select Sign In to complete the process.
Once you have completed either method, your STV Player app should be successfully activated, giving you access to a wide range of entertainment content.
